SOURCE: de-restrict an aprilia rs 125. Hate to disagree with tina783, but you may have restrictions in place, there is two on the aprilia rs 125. if your on a L plate then the bike should be restricted to 11.5w of power, which is about 15 bhp, when it's de-restricted should be around 34bhp. First is the power valve or a RAVE Valve as some
It's a 4 stroke 125 plodder. If you want more power either get a bigger bike or a 2 stroke! 2 strokes make almost twice the power of a 4 stroke of the same cc. They needed restricting, Diesels (sorry, 4 strokes) don't as they only produce half the power. With 2 x NSR125's, 3 x TZR250's and a TDR250, I'm a bit of a 2 stroke fan though! fastbob. The very fact that its only 50cc is a restriction in itself . De-restricting for pre and post-2000 engines is done in two parts. For the post-2000 engines, there is an additional step of adjusting carburettor jetting as well. Prepare a clean work area and make sure all necessary tools and parts are nearby and ready for use. Open up the Vespa engine case and locate the outer engine pulley.
The restriction is the same on all 50cc four stroke models including the LX 50 4t, Fly 50 4t. and Zip 50 4t (China). The main restriction on the 50 cc four stroke engine is electronic. There is no restriction in. the exhaust pipe.
/r/moped, or mopeddit, is for discussion and celebration of vintage mopeds on Reddit. We ride mostly 1970s pedal-equipped two-stroke models, such as those manufactured by Puch, Motobécane, Peugeot, Tomos, Garelli, Sachs, Kriedler, etc. Post pictures, ask questions, find your local gang, and share knowledge. I had a 2-stroke 125cc 20 years ago, I got the power (whatever there was of it) across the range and after +15000 kms, (never knew exactly how much since after a while the odometer died and I used the bike for an other three years continuously) it required a single rebuild of anything significant. Check wiring to starter. If you assume it's the wiring grab 2 wires and touch the possitive to possitive on battery and starter and do the nagatives. If the starter works it's the wiring if it doesn't then it's the starter. If you have checked all wiring and still nothing take battery to oriellys to get tested.
So my friend gave me this chinese 4-stroke 50cc moped to use until i get a car on the road (hopefully a little mini ;-] in september time if im lucky) This bike is massive in size - a good foot or two longer than any other mopeds i've seen around. Its really wide too. Very strange when you're used to a dinky little NRG.
The speed of your 4-stroke, 50CC scooter is restricted by a small washer found in the scooter's variator system. Detach the kickstart from the variator system. It is attached to the system by a pin that is tightened into place with a small bolt. Loosen the bolt and pull the pin and you can remove the kickstart from the scooter.
2) Get Rid of the Kickstart. There’s a kickstart that’s connected to the same system. You will notice it is held by a pin that is connected to a small bolt. Look for the bolt and start to loosen it until you’re able to pull the pin. Once the pin comes loose, you’ll be able to get rid of the kickstart. You can start to look into the
4 stroke are much more reliable than 2 stroke but you dont really get the same power than a 2stroke from a scooter p.s if you browse the web you can get all kind of upgrades for chineese bikes i.e cdi bore kits etc but if your going to pay money for doing that your better off part x the bike and get a known brand
You can make your Honda Vision moped faster by making mechanical alterations to the moped's air intake and variator systems. Unscrew the two bolts holding the intake case to the top of the variator case with a socket wrench. Unscrew the single bolt holding the intake case to the connection point on the underside of the rear wheel well.
At the bottom of the range, the 49 cc “50” runs a 39 mm bore and 41.4 mm stroke with a blistering 1.9 horsepower and 3.0 pound-feet of torque. The engine is restricted to 30 mph, though with P9Wt7m.
